由於傳統的加油付款程式文書工作繁重且用時長，同時無法預測航班所需燃料的確切數量，因此航空公司需要向燃料運營商支付更多的資金，購買更多的燃料，以確保燃料充足。

據國外媒體報導，為提高飛機加油和支付過程的透明度，俄羅斯西伯利亞航空公司和其燃料供應商已經成功完成了區塊鏈加油專案“智慧燃料”試點工作。該專案的應用程式基於區塊鏈框架Hyperledger Fabric研發而成，執行過程中，啟動可執行的分散式代碼合同或智慧合約模組，讓初始燃料量以及成本能在區塊鏈平臺上實現透明視覺化。當需要為飛機提供燃料時，飛行員要求的確切燃料量和燃料成本就會被發送到航空公司合作的銀行，並告知其所需的資金。加油完成後，資金會自動扣除，並立即向所有相關方確認。

據介紹，新的區塊鏈驅動系統使整個加油及付款過程自動化，得以讓支付時間大大縮短。該系統能夠在幾秒鐘內處理加油付款，而傳統的付款交易通常需要4到5天。目前，在俄羅斯摩爾曼斯克國際機場，已有100多個西伯利亞航空公司航班試用了這一平臺。

隨著未來應用場景的不斷增加，區塊鏈技術可能會應用於越來越重要的領域，因此怎麼保證資訊安全是目前最需要引起重視的。那麼問題來了，這種完全在區塊鏈上，全自動完成付款的操作真的安全嗎？理論上來說，不能說是100%的安全。如果區塊鏈受到攻擊或者監管機制不完善，都會導致區塊鏈出現安全隱患和漏洞。假設有同等算力資源的1萬人使用同一個區塊鏈，其中超過5000人達成一個共識，要攻擊區塊鏈，那這種攻擊就會成功破壞之前的各方約定。當然這種情況一般很難做到。

目前，使用區塊鏈技術完成支付的應用場景並不鮮見，比如在跨境支付、供應鏈管理(協作與溯源)、跨境貿易、金融服務等場景都有著不錯的應用。在區塊鏈框架方面，目前我國使用的基本都是國際上的開源系統。我國應該自主研發區塊鏈框架，每行代碼都應由我們自主完成。目前相關團隊正在進行這項工作，只有實現了基礎框架的自主可控，區塊鏈應用場景才能實現真正的安全。
